SmallPetChannel says:

@PinpuleCp They need rabies and distemper vaccines annually along with monthly heartworm prevention.

cavylove76 says:

it culdent brethe oviosly!

PinpuleCp says:

do ferrets need shots?

CheapFerretCage says:

Sleepy ferret! they get so tired sometimes!

EnglishTurtleHead says:

Right, dont ever take them by the scruff. They HATE it. Their mothers do this to them when theyre young and thats it, its like sucking your mums boob in the street, to them its like low self respect.
It yawns because with the skin being held at the back, its tight at the front and so it needs to breath. The ferret is being chocked.
Hold your ferret in one hand around the shoulders under the neck with your forefinger under the legs. You dont need to support its rear end this way, but you can do .

babydeerable says:

@FaithTheVampire

She says “you should support their rear end. This makes them relax”.
She did not say “you should ALWAYS support their rear end” at all.

When you are scolding a ferret, you don’t even hold their rear end.
It doesn’t hurt them when you scruff them without holding their bum, probably just uncomfortable if anything.

@metalbananaman
man that ferret was lucky as hell….. if i could get stoned by having the back of my neck grabbed i would walk around all day looking like i’m getting arrested

galeper10 says:

It would be easier to understand if it was a hot lady in bikini that was talking then that shit head

HereIsWho says:

I thought ferrets are in pain if you do that but thanks anyway im going to try this on my ferret

KCwalksabout says:

@Sourpatchkid3252 He didn’t squeal, that was a critter in the background. If ferrets are in pain they let you know about it!

She did scruff him for a bit too long but she’s also right, he’s not in any pain and that is how you would want to hold them to clip their nails etc.

metalbananaman says:

i mean, i want to trust you because of the important looking attire and all, but you grabbed the animals neck hair and put it into submission. i would like to see a giant ferret do that to you now.

camillalpz says:

@amykhueber A cheaper thing than using ferret ear cleaner is using your own spit or olive oil .

AlyssaStar09 says:

@STUNTS1516 I am aware that there is no pain. I don’t need you to teach me. I have 2 ferrets myself…I was only saying she should not continue you to hold him because it was not necessary. And what do you mean “trimming their hair”?? You mean clean out their ears?

STUNTS1516 says:

@AlyssaStar09
Its in no pain or discomfort, its how there mothers would hold them as infants anyway, cats do the same thing.
Shes simply demonstrating the correct way to hold them while trimming there hair.

KKrazy1998 says:

@FaithTheVampire nope she was supporting the but with her arm

Sourpatchkid3252 says:

Almost always yawn ur hurting him I herd him squell

crazyjorge2111 says:

lol looks like a little baby. What a cute little animal. I want one, Even though it will prob drop long turds on my carpet.

AlyssaStar09 says:

She is NOT an expert… Although scruffing may not hurt them, she should not continue holding him.. Poor ferret! :(

mferguson1281 says:

I never support my ferret when I scruff her and she is always fine. I am able to scruff her and trim her nails myself by having the other hand free. Using small regular finger nail clippers works fine. I find that trimming them sideways as opposed to the way humans trim their nails, you can cut them easily and they tend to crack or break a lot less.

paracite says:

@FaithTheVampire If you support their butt while scruffing them, they’ll wiggle around as opposed to being very relaxed without butt support. :D

itsRocaWHAT says:

everyone who hasn’t noticed, should know that expertvillage never has experts on their videos.

amykhueber says:

uhm, you should NEVER clean your ferrets ear with a mild dog or cat ear cleaner. make sure you get a FERRET EAR CLEANER or go to your vet to do it. also, when holding the scruff of your ferret you should NEVER let them dangle!!! ferrets tend to become very squirmy so you need to make sure that you are holding them securely. I give my ferrets a treat while clipping their nails and it seems to work much better! THIS GIRL HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE’S TALKING ABOUT!

adrastea99 says:

You don’t have to support their rear end, but it’s hard to trim the nails of a ferret which is just hanging down
