Have a friend bring over a calm dog, or foster for your local shelter.

hey….i need help! I have a white cat, and she is very timid! She used to live with a dog and she wouldn’t come downstairs! We are hoping to get a Golden Retriever at the end of the year.. but I’m scared that my cat will not be friends with him/her at all and will run away and stuff like that! Do you think that is possible? Will it be possible for them to be friends?
