@amada2i Its not completely unnecessary. It depends. I don’t cut my cats hair on her back. But I do cut her back side, belly and paws. Before I used to think a daily brushing was enough, but then I noticed she did need it. Back side because feces was getting stuck on it, belly because it was matting and paws because she started pulling on it with her teeth. I much preferred to cut these areas than to have her uncomfortable. My other one doesn’t need much though, he cares very well for his fur.
what you so post to start at the head and first and never hold a cats tell like that it harts them gosh people
my cat won’t stay 10 seconds on a table for a cut.
We use deShedder by Furminator and it is sooo great you can use it on cats and dogs and its great because we have a norwiegen cat and they have lots of fur and we have never seen our cat look so good (and so much dead fur come off) now he has soft fur and my god we got a lot of fur of him (OUR VET RECOMMENDED IT) it was 65 SFR it’s not cheap but it lasts 10 cats if you dont leave it blade down so it becomes blunt but it’s GREAT try it if you have a dog or cat with lots of fur!!!!!!!!
Incomplete. Didn’t show how to cut chest area or legs, etc.
ok cuz i just trimmed my cat.and im glad i watched this cuz now i know that its meant to look choppy.good to know.
look at her veins.. eeew
Please do cats that AREN’T used to clipping. Always do big cats. They’re harder to handle. And please to their bellies.
ANY cat can get ringworm. It is a fungus that lives on cats, dogs, and humans (and probably other mammals, too…) and can spread from one species to another (cats to us, for instance). Most “parents” cannot keep up with a Persian’s coat. They usually do need professional grooming in order to maintain a healthy coat. Hair can protect a cat from diseases, but it can also hide disease (ringworm, mites, fleas, etc.) if it isn’t maintained properly.
thank you for sharing your method.
where do you get andis a5>
you seem to know alot about cats…i have a 3 year old long haired grey and white cat, but i dont know what breed she is. could you help me figure it out? please
that cat looks mad
the persian cat get no ringworm by there fur…also an persian is not an poodle…persian needs every brushing…and also the cat washed him or herself…well they don’t need an haircut…the hair is an protection against deseases….infections…i have seen persians who where cut…they get verry sick…en someone are death now….don’t do it……………
I have to agree. This is for the professionals who have training & experience in grooming cats. I would use a clipper instead because a cat’s coat is hard to work with, making the hair cut look good too with a larger blade. You have a lot of chop marks in the coat & it looks silly. The other thing I notice is I hate the Oster clipper she is using, It’s too loud for the cat & heavy duty to have a chance of skin knicking the cat, I use Andis A5 as it’s a lot quieter and safer for the cat.
I am a professional cat “only” groomer & this is a persian. These cats are some what like poodles they require a bath & clipping to be comfortable & have healthy skin. Most of my clients are persians or half persians with double coats & the owner is coming to me for help because they have such a hard time brushing the cat and the cat fight back. Also persians are more likely to get ringworm if their skin is not healthy with matts pulling hair out by the roots which is VERY painful and cruel.
Honestly does this woman you think that everyone can do this to their cat. knowing how scared cats are when it comes to new things being used on their fur, and them not being still. Especially you being on the verge of being bit or scratched by a cat, come on now. Its good, but it not going to be esay for some people.
a cat is not an human….to cut hair…its there protection against diseasses….this is verry idiot…and i am an vet…..
LOLOLOLOL!! WTF!! LOL!
it is unnecessary to cut a cat’s hair, just brush it daily to keep the knots away, they take care of everything themselves
apalling! If you accidently cut the cat’s skin with the scissors, you could be taking him to the emergency clinic for stitches!
this is soooo funny!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your several videos.
Very interesting!
