It will thrilled you to know Samson was put down almost a year ago. It is amazing to me that you are the only person who ever had such feelings towards the life Samson lived. I’ll give it you… maybe you never read his blog and that is why you don’t understand. But Samson lived a good life for the short amount of time he had and he was not in pain. You would had never thought of putting him down had you seen the excitement in which he lived his life.
Watching this video nearly broke my heart….if you bred and got this puppy from your litter, shame on you for not putting him down. I feel this is very selfish on your part to let him live. How dizzy and unsure he must be. It was painful to watch him struggle to gain his balance and fall over. There comes a time when you have to put your need aside and feel for the animal. Poor little Samson.
yay samson!! animals will never cease to amaze me. if only WE could be more like them.
thank you for sharing.
hi there. what a terrific dog! my 2-yr old rescue collie has cerebellar hypoplasia, he’s a delight. yr little fellah seems to cope with the balance probs better than my lad- prob because he’s adapted so well to the blindness. whatever, he is a doll and i could just eat him! apple xx
What an awesome dog Samson is! And you are a wonderful owner. Thank you so much for taking him into a nice home! I know so many people who would never have given him a chance. I hope and pray there’s a lot of people in the world like you to take care of pets like Samson!
wonderful, thanks for putting out this positive video!
This is a testament to how animals adapt to every kind of living condition. You usually hear of BAD living conditions to which dogs have adapted; this is just a wonderful, life affirming video. Thank you, Samson, for showing how it’s done!
I have a blind doxie; I wish she had this energy (maybe she did when a pup, she’s 10 now!). There is no stopping a well-loved dog!
Wow, Im glad a good owner got this dog so he didnt end up at the pound because of the condition.
I have two chihuahuas myself, one having a slight eye problem, but not as severe as this. Im glad hes living a good life and Im surprised how active he is!
