It’s a hard world to get a break in All the good things have been taken But girl there are ways to make certain things pay Though I’m dressed in these rags, I’ll wear sable some day Hear what I say I’m gonna ride the serpent No more time spent sweatin’ rent Hear my command It ain’t no use, I’m breakin’ loose, Holdin’ me down, stick around But baby (baby) Remember (remember) It’s my life and I’ll do what I want It’s my mind and I’ll think what I want Show me I’m wrong, hurt me sometime But …
worrrrrrrd

true enough, pretty creepy thought…girl heads on plaques.
these old video’s are amazing. gotta love the “trophy heads” of women around the room. funny at the time, i am sure, kinda creepy by todays PC world, but still i laughed my head off when i saw that.
I am in love with Eric Burdons voice.
great song by a great band……

say YES to rock and NO to rihanna.
lol
apparantly eric burdon had a sex change :O
Sorry – it wasn’t Carol King. It was written by Carl D’Errico and Roger Atkins. “Don’t Bring Me Down” was written by Carol King and Gerry Goffin, while “We Gotta Get Out of This Place” was written by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. Finally, “Please Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” was written by the less known Bennie Benjamin. So of the big four hits two were by “Brill Building” writers, and none by the Animals members. Still, they were a great group and Burdon an excellent singer and personality.
Song by Carole King. Sadly, the Animals didn’t write any of their big hits. None that I know of. When I was Young, maybe? But Burdon sings well. At first I thought the band was synched in. But the singing seems real-time.
yep thats right! loll.
bass player is chas chandler the guy that discovered Jimi Hendrix
bass player is a giant!! the animals rocks
Eric Burdon and the Animals Rock. They always will. I love them.
Saw Eric Burdon perform in California about 8 years ago, and he was drunk off his ass. Still has that great voice, though.
“it’s my life and i’ll do what i want, it’s my mind and i’ll think what i want” hell yeah!!
it’s amazing how presentable even bands were back then. It’s changed SO MUCH since then.
the best animal song
who cares its good music, something very rare today, just listen to it and shut up
lyrics like “let’s spend the night together” sounds perfectly innocent.
I never tire of this music, even after 40+ years.
They look so nice with their suits:)
