Mine was just under $1k (pet – possible show quality). She is from a CH/GC,RW bloodline. Cost is nothing. I would get another one – they are such an excellent breed and our breeder does a great job. No clawing on furniture for the most part because they were trained. Mine just likes to jump on things but she rarely uses claws (trim them often!).
Maine Coons from elite breeders with championship blood lines and/or exceptional size are much more expensive than suggested in this video.
